Thrift stores are a great source of gently-used clothes that you can enjoy temporarily or even long-term. Gina, one of the case managers at the Bariatric Center of KC, recommends shopping at thrift stores because an item might fit one day, and might be much too big the next. Who is Interested in a November 2022 Work Camp/ Adult Mission Trip? Pleasant Hill Community Church, UCC is holding an information session (please wear your mask) on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the Church's Boyce Hall. All are welcome to learn more about Back Bay Mission and it's outstanding mission trip programs and accomodations. Some of the mission opportunities include helpping with the client choice food bank, serve meals at a community kitchen, rehabilitation of Biloxi area housing and offer day services to the unsheltered. The cost is $250 per person. The trip can be postponed or cancelled at any time. All will need to attend a series of educational programs, held and sponsored by Pleasant Hill Community Church, prior to the trip.
