Shopping at thrift store makes sense when loosing weight
So your 2022 resolution was to loose some weight.....and you are doing it. Did you know that on average it only takes loosing 10 to 15 pounds to lose 1 dress or pants size. Trying to firgure out of to keep up your style while not breaking the bank? The answer is Thirft Stores, and The Grab in Pleasant hill has one of the largest selection of clothes. Thrift stores are a great source of gently-used clothes that you can enjoy temporarily or even long-term.
Gina, one of the case managers at the Bariatric Center of KC, recommends shopping at thrift stores because an item might fit one day, and might be much too big the next. So, you’re only out a few dollars as opposed to what you would spend on a brand new item of clothing.
Thrift stores carry everything from dresses to work out clothes, so there’s a good chance you’ll find an outfit for a date night, a day in the garden, and one for work too. The Grab also has a wide selection of children's clothing, insuring that all members pof your family are stylish.
Remember to wash any purchased clothes prior to wear in order to give them a “new” feel.
The Grab is located at 9547 Sparta Rd., Pleasant Hill, and is managed by Donna Iles, with the help of many volunteers. The Grab has contributed items to at least 25 local organizations and individuals, and pledges that no-one in need is turned away. Call (931) 287-3018 to volunteer your time or make a financial donation to The Grab. The Grab thrift store is expanding it's hours: we will now be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9AM to 3PM and Saturdays from 9AM to 1PM. As always, in the case of inclement weather, we will be closed if Cumberland County schools are closed, or if snow or ice make the parking area unsafe."
