Don't get Tied Down - Creative ways to use men's ties

Being a crafty person is a true gift. Those are the folks that see things that most of us would not. For example, how about a tieo ottoman? This would be a perfect piece for your family room. Can you imagine the conversations you and your guests would share around this piece? But that is just one of hundreds of ideas that you will get when you google crafts using old ties? If you are looking for a great fun project to share with your sewing group, or the local scouts troop, ties may be your creative outlet. Next time you are at the Grab thrift store remember to pick up a few of the beautiful neckties and see what fun things you can make with them. I know I have been inspired to start using them for a few fun projects! The Grab is at 9547 Sparta Rd., Pleasant Hill and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9AM to 3PM and Saturdays from 9AM to 1PM. The Grab is a non-profit mission outreach of the Pleasant Hill Community Church, United Church of Christ. Pleasant Hill Community Church pays the salary of the manager and any expenses not covered by the store’s income. The Grab has contributed items to at least 25 local organizations and individuals, and pledges that no-one in need is turned away. Pleasant Hill Community Church, UCC is holding an information session (please wear your mask) on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the Church's Boyce Hall. Singing bowls have been around for thousands of years, and they are a common fixture in sound healing practices. Come join us on April 24 at Pleasant Hill Community Church, beginning at 3:00pm for a Cystal Bowl Concert. The concert will be performed by Diana and Ron Riggs All are invited to attend and learn some fascinating crystal bowl history while enjoying the beautiful music! Diana Riggs has an extensive musical background where she played piano, organ, and directed choirs to assist in she and Ron's music ministry. Their travels took them from Ohio to California and back to Little Rock, AR, where Riggs played in four different churches over 31 years. Riggs was Pleasant Hill Community Church's music director from December 2015 until November of 2021.
